Zinnie's
About This Spot
Walking into Zinnie’s feels like stepping into a quietly familiar corner of Memphis—a place where time slows just enough for good conversations and easy company. It’s the kind of bar that wears its character without pretension, inviting both longtime locals and curious newcomers to settle in and savor the moment. The atmosphere hums with laid-back energy, punctuated by the soft clatter of a golf machine in the back and the gentle exchange of stories by the bar.
Zinnie’s pace is unhurried, a subtle invitation to linger over a drink and soak in the surroundings. The space balances an old-school dive bar charm with an eclectic warmth that feels genuine rather than curated. There’s a familiar comfort in the inclusion of a smoking area, which shapes the air in a way that’s part of its identity—sometimes a gentle fog of nostalgia for those who appreciate it, or a quiet pause in the city’s ever-moving rhythm.
Behind the bar, the staff create a quietly welcoming environment where friendliness blends naturally with expertise. While Zinnie’s offers a modest selection of food options, many come for the drinks, finding small pleasures in thoughtfully poured beers, ciders, and distinctive cocktails like a well-made Pisco Sour. It’s a place that invites you to explore favorites and maybe discover a new go-to.
Zinnie’s isn’t about flash—it’s about the human moments: the nod of recognition from the bartender, the familiar clink of glasses, the subtle camaraderie between strangers sharing a Monday night over half-priced wings. This unpolished charm, paired with a steady pulse of Memphis spirit, creates a neighborhood bar that feels less like a destination and more like a gathering place where your next story begins.

Zinnie's is a pretty standard Memphis bar that allows smoking. They have five menu options if you're looking for food, and they have 50 cent wings on Mondays. I had their fries, which were okay but a bit dry. They have a golf machine in the back. Other than that, you're pretty much going there to drink. The bartender was super nice when we went.

This is a great old dive bar. I loved it. I did some early day drinking around 3:30 or so. It's the kind of place I like to stop at.

Great eclectic and welcoming place , and Wade (bartender) is just the cherry on top! Thanks for this lovely night <3

Nice and quiet when I went for the 1st time. Smoking allowed, neither a plus nor deterrent for me. Several taps but no draft beer, kinda weird/disappointing, probably the only thing preventing five stars for me. If I could give it like a 4.6 I would.

Brand new menu! Brand new management! Amazing place and people. Really happy I came back around to this place, def a 10/10 place. If cigarette smoke bothers you, it may not be for you but the bartenders are amazing!

The bartender was great, he was very nice and genuinely cared about the place. My gripes come from the maintenance of the building. The bathrooms felt a little run down and the front roof area looks like it’s starting to sag. Overall, chill place and I would come again.
